The standard memory is installed in a socket which cannot be accessed by the end user. The second memory socket supports the end user upgrade. In order to reach 512MB you may need to have the standard memory replaced by an authorized service center.
Memory speed may differ from the original system memory but is guaranteed to work in your computer. When mixed, the memory will run at the slowest speed installed or the highest speed allowed by your system.
