What can go wrong with cheaper, off spec, generic ram?

All memory is not created equal, quality makes a big difference in performance. Low quality memory will cause the following :

1) Your system will frequently crash.

2) Data errors will happen corrupting the hard drive and will force you to re-install the operating system, all your programs and files.

3) Automatic rebooting of the system. While using your computer it will crash resulting in blank or blue screens and forcing the system to restart.

4) Your system will shut down after few hours of operation due to overheating of chips.
