What is DDR Memory?
Double data rate (DDR) SDRAM does exactly what it sounds like — it doubles the rate of speed at which standard SDRAM can process data. That means DDR is roughly twice as fast as standard SDRAM.
Will it work in my system?
DDR memory modules won't fit in standard SDRAM sockets, so you can't plug DDR into your current system and make it twice as fast. You can only use DDR if your motherboard is designed specifically for it. If you are not sure, that's alright, just use our memory finder found in box 2 on the front page!
